Robsten Across The Pond

After an internal debate on whether or not to post this, you can see which side won out.  A British fan on the Isle of Wight ran into Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, along with some of their friends.  The young fan posed for a photo with KStew and RPattz separately, confirming for many that the two are an item. (There is no official word on whether the Twilight stars are dating). Shortly after the fan photos appeared online, this group shot popped up.  Reportedly, the others in this photo include childhood friends of Rob: Marcus Foster, Bobby Long, and TomStu (with Rob and Kristen at the very back).

Obviously, you can't tell for sure if it's them, but it's fun for fans to speculate.  Even though I'm contributing to the fan fever by posting this, a part of me feels bad for their lack of privacy.  Do you remember what you were doing at the age of 19 or 23?  Was it posted all over the internet?  Probably not.  Perhaps, if these two would just address the speculation with a definitive answer, people may back off.  What do you think?

David Cook's New Tattoo - Close Up

"So when your eulogy is being read
With your life's actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?"

David Cook Returns To The Stage

After a three week hiatus, David Cook and his band "The Anthemic" took to the stage for a sold out crowd in Temecula, CA at the Pechanga Casino and Resort. Tonight was the first of a two night run and the guys did not disappoint. The vocals were stellar and the band in top form.

The set-list was fantastic: Mr. Sensitive, Heroes, Kiss On The Neck, I Did It For You, Lie, Bar-Ba-Sol, Souvenir, Make Believe (new song), Straight Ahead (from Analog Heart), Shattered Dreams (cover), Come Back To Me, Light On (Encore #1), A Daily Anthem (Encore #2). Declaration was on the set list, but not performed.

Dave debuted a brand new red guitar and a new forearm tattoo, of which there is much speculation. Word on the street is that it's comprised of the following verse: "So when your eulogy is being read - With your life's actions to rehash - Would you be proud of the things they say - About how you spent your dash?"

The banter was great, as usual. He asked Andy Skib how he spent his Christmas break, to which Skib replied, "None of your business" (that Andy is always a funny guy). He mentioned how cute Andy's dog, Amos, is and called himself "Uncle Dave." Dave's brother, Mother, and Stepfather were in attendance, enjoying the show within the crowd of fans. Never missing an opportunity to taunt his younger brother, Dave pointed out the new facial hair Andrew is sporting, calling it the best mustache ever.

Always the humble performer, he thanked the fans for flying in from all over the country (some as far as Florida) to support him while he does what he loves. This is one of his endearing qualities and a pivotal reason why "cookies" are so loyal. Dave never forgets his fans or their place in getting him to where he is.

Before the show, he sat down with someone from the Pechanga Casino and Resort to answer a few questions. Jokingly calling this his "comeback tour," revealing his New Year's Resolutions, and giving us a hint of what the next record will encompass.

David Cook - December In Review

December was a good month for David Cook and The Anthemic. After over 150 shows since February 14, 2008, the Declaration Tour unexpectedly wrapped up on December 1st. The last show, scheduled for December 2, was cancelled the night before, resulting in a flurry of Twitter activity, speculations and questions. We still don't know why the last concert never happened, but we know it was not Dave's idea - he never cancels.

In a word, the last show was epic. Never one to disappoint, Dave had some tricks up his sleeve. He ate pasta on stage during Green River Ordinance's (a.k.a GRO) performance; even trying to feed the lead singer, Josh. The crazy antics continued with David taping the word "poop" on GRO's base drum. Captain America, Green Man, Monkey, and Banana all made an appearance. My personal favorite was the "River Dance" dance-off between The Script and GRO. This is a group of guys who genuinely like each other and like to have fun! Fire Tornado (a band made up of the tour crew) even made an appearance at the end of the night while David and the rest of the guys threw tour mementos into the crowd (even Parm, the rubber chicken!). One of the most poignant moments of the night was Mr. Cook standing on the side of the stage, towel wrapped around his neck, tears in eyes, taking it all in.

The rest of December included: Dave writing and recording in NYC; Dave and Neal celebrating birthdays; Dave singing the National Anthem at the Kansas City Chiefs game; Andy Skib performing at the Flytrap Music Hall; Dave making a surprise appearance/performance at a concert in KC; Neal being stuck in airports for about a week; and a flawless performance of "Lie" on The Carrie Underwood Christmas Special.

After a short break, we have the New Year's Eve show in Pechanga to look forward to! Here's to an even better year in 2010.

Robert Pattinson Chats with Penny Smith from GMTV

While in London in November, promoting New Moon, Rob sat down with Penny Smith from GMTV for a chat. Her knowledge of the Twilight Saga and of Rob is limited; evidence by some of her ignorant questions (makeup, contacts, Volturi). Rob easily avoids answering certain uncomfortable questions, and delights us with his musing thoughts.

As for what he aspired to be as a child? He longed to find something that didn't require homework or someone telling him what to do. Really? So reading scripts, researching characters, and having a director, manager, and production company tell you what to do and when to do it doesn't count, Rob? :) We're happy with the career choice.

Would he want to be a vampire? What does his family think of his new fame? Oh, and he obviously reads the magazines. :)

Happy Birthday Andy Skib!

Andy Skib takes the mic to sing "Til I'm Blue" while David Cook sings backup. We can't resist those cute dimples Mr. Skib, not to mention your talented songwriting ability and fantastic singing voice. While we want you to stay with David, it's only a matter of time before you launch your own solo career. Hey fans, don't forget to trend #HappyBdayAndySkib on Twitter.

And you can purchase Andy's original music here, under the name of "To Have Heroes."

Kristen Stewart shares some insight into her character, Bella, in the upcoming movie, New Moon. She explains how easy it was for her and Robert Pattinson to fall back into character for the second installment of The Twilight Saga.

Also, be sure to tune in to Oprah this Friday, November 13, 2009 for a very special guest! Stephenie Meyer has decided that her ONE public appearance for New Moon will be the TV Queen's talk show.

David Cook Sings With Our Lady Peace

Wow! David sang with one of HIS idols last night when he attended an Our Lady Peace concert in Kansas City, MO on Halloween Night. Raine Maida is the Canadian born lead singer of the band that has been an influence on David for years. Raine actually cowrote "Permanent" on David's self titled debut album, David Cook. Raine also collaborated with David on "Heroes," "Mr. Sensitive," and "I Did It For You." We love to see David having fun.

David Cook Playing Golf

Check out this adorable photo of David playing golf. Is he frustrated or just hungry? You decide. Looking good, David, looking good!

David Cook - Extreme Makeover Home Edition

David Cook recently spent some of his time off volunteering to help a needy family in Indiana on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. The show will air sometime in January 2010. In the meantime, here's a video of David and Xhibit holding an auction to benefit the family. Auctioned off during this video is one guitar signed by David himself. I don't play guitar, but I would love to have that one!

New Favorite David Cook Quote

"Q: When will we see another installment of Pork Beans and will Neal ever star in one?
"Another episode will be up in the next few weeks. Neil is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, dipped in a quagmire, he is of a different breed. I don't know if he will ever."

Part Of My Conversation With David Cook

David Cook....talking to me....can you believe it?? I'm asking him when we can expect more "Pork Beans" - you can hear me in the background saying "that is HILARIOUS" and while he's signing autographs for others, he lets me know they just finished another video. I ask when we can expect to see HIM in one of the videos, and he says "I'm involved! Did you see all of those captions? (looks at me) that was me and Andy." So happy someone recorded this and put it on You Tube! The experience goes so fast that it's nice to have a record of it. :)

Interview With David Cook in Green Bay

David Cook - "Pork Beans"

Never one to disappoint, David and the band are giving us a peek at what's it's like for them on the road. In this first of a series to come, Joey introduces us to "Pork Beans" while the talented Andy Skib puts on his cameraman hat and films. I recently met the band at the concert in Green Bay and I can attest to the fact that they are just as funny and nice in person. I highly encouraged them to continue "Pork Beans" because we love it!! (It may not have come out of my mouth as eloquently at the time as I the fangirl in me was coming out) Enjoy....

David Cook Performs "Man In The Box"

This song shows off David's soulful side. It also makes me want to quit my day job, become a stage-hand, and tour the country with these guys....
